Triumph Muscadine is a productive, self-fertile variety that produces sweet, bronze fruit with an attractive pink to reddish blush. Its early harvest and excellent flavor make it a good choice for fresh eating and backyard muscadine plantings.
This vigorous Southern fruit vine is well adapted to the heat and humidity of North Florida, the Florida Panhandle, South Alabama, and the Gulf Coast. Since Triumph is self-fertile, it is also a convenient choice when there is room for only one muscadine vine.
Pollination Information
Triumph is self-fertile. One Triumph vine can produce fruit without another muscadine variety nearby.
Triumph can also provide pollen for female-flowered muscadines, including:

• Scarlett
• Fry
Fruit color does not affect pollination. A bronze self-fertile muscadine can pollinate bronze, pink, red, purple, or black female varieties when their flowering periods overlap.

Fruit and Harvest Note
Triumph produces attractive bronze fruit with a noticeable pink or reddish tint. The berries are very sweet and are especially good for eating fresh from the vine.
The fruit may not ripen all at once, so check the vine regularly and harvest the fully colored berries as they mature. Ripe fruit can occasionally loosen and fall from the vine, making prompt picking important.

Plant Triumph in a sunny location with well-drained soil. Avoid low areas where water remains after heavy rainfall.
Triumph is a vigorous and productive vine that requires a strong, permanent trellis. Annual dormant pruning helps control its growth and encourages healthy new fruiting wood.
In North Florida, muscadines are generally pruned during February or early March before vigorous spring growth begins.
